چکیده

Biomarkers are early predictors of various disorders, circulating level C-reactive protein is a sensitive biomarker systemic inflammation and may also be associated with the development diabetic, hepatic, cardiovascular diseases. In present study, we aimed to investigate association between levels high (hs-CRP) biomarkers for health. The retrospective analysis included 438 individuals who were tested these panels simultaneously at Vibrant America Clinical Laboratory. study population free-living without any preexisting clinical conditions. Among markers, positive correlation significant was found hs-CRP serum triglycerides (r = 0.0964, p −0.1423, −0.1216, < 0.0105) hs-CRP. all diabetic glucose 0.1547, 0.0011) glycated 0.1725, 0.0003) positively correlated hepatic panel, AST, transaminase that plays vital role in amino acid metabolism, have strong 0.2139, 0.0001). conclusion, results clearly show risk factors indicating its central value as key marker several lifestyle-associated disorders.

The Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms in the C-reactive Protein Gene: are they Biomarkers of Cardiovascular Risk?

Recent pre-clinical and clinical studies have revealed the C-reactive protein gene (CRP) is related to the degree of acute rise in plasma C-reactive protein (CRP) levels. Moreover, single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the CRP gene could associate with increased risk of cancer, atherosclerosis, diabetes mellitus, bowel disease, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, obstructive pulmonary disease,...

High-sensitivity C-reactive protein: still need for next-generation biomarkers for remote future cardiovascular events.

Inflammation in the vessel wall plays a crucial role in the pathophysiology of atherogenesis, progression of atherosclerosis, and plaque instability. Atherosclerosis is initiated by dysfunction of endothelial cells (ECs), leading to expression of adhesion molecules for inflammatory cells. Vascular inflammation leads to an oxidizing environment due to activation of macrophages that secrete cytok...

Relationship between High-Density Lipoprotein and C-reactive Protein in Patients with Atherosclerosis

Abstract Background and Objective: Atherosclerosis is an inflammatory disease mostly caused by oxidation of low density lipoproteins (LDLs) while High-density lipoproteins (HDLs) oppose atherosclerosis by inhibiting the oxidation of LDLs. Serum concentration of C- reactive protein (CRP) also increases as an acute phase protein in inflammatory conditions like atherosclerosis. We aimed to evalu...

Problems with high-sensitivity C-reactive protein.

To the Editor: Last year, Ockene et al. (1) published a report in this journal that made the claim that high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) has a degree of measurement stability that is similar to that of total cholesterol and that this provides further evidence of the potential clinical utility of hs-CRP screening as a novel tool for vascular risk prediction. The key evidence that Ock...
